Technical Support

LOC has a broad spectrum of technical expertise throughout our offices, providing global coverage to match our clients’ requirements. We are able to assist operators in the production of guidance documents, technical specifications, and manuals, and write policies and procedures. We can assist clients in implementing these, for example by providing training.

Our service includes preparing and review of Guidelines for the planning, design and execution of complex marine operations and emergency response manuals. Examples include SOPEP (Ship Oil Pollution Emergency Plan) and SMPEP (Shipboard Marine Pollution Emergency Plan), preparation and implementation of ISM/ISO (International Safety Management Code/International Organisation for Standardisation), FPU (floating production unit) and semi-submersible marine operations manuals, DP (Dynamic Positioning) operations manuals / checklists, cargo securing manual and ship security plan.
