  • Specification and management of offshore geotechnical and geophysical surveys
  • Site Characterisation, reporting, interpretation and risk management
  • Pile installation engineering and supervision
  • Cable on-bottom stability, burial assessment and trenching
  • Anchors, jackets, suction cans and foundation option studies

CONSTRUCTION and OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE

  • Engineering
  • Expert assistance
  • Leg penetration analysis for vessel movements with V-H interaction and leg extraction assessment
  • Liquefaction analysis
  • Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Assessment
  • Scour assessment and protection

SITE FEASIBILITY

When it comes to offshore wind, LOC offers a full turnkey solution for the marine activities, commencing with the provision of a range of engineering and marine consultancy for appropriate site evaluation and selection.

SURVEY MANAGEMENT

We offer all services relating to offshore survey operations which include the following:

  • Scope and specification of survey
  • Contractor Selection
  • Management and supervision
  • Laboratory Scheduling
  • Project Management

SITE EVALUTATION AND CHARACTERISATION

Our aim is to reduce ground risk as far as practically possible. This can be achieved through a detailed study of seabed soils and their interaction with seabed structures. Through various studies we can attribute values to soil properties to assess their behaviour under varying conditions.  Our ground model production enables our clients to understand the ground conditions at any point within their project area.

CABLE RISK

Subsea Cables Services include:

  • Routing
  • Burial Risk Analysis
  • Burial assessment
  • Tool selection and achievability based upon in house experience
  • Cable Protection
  • Ongoing Support to ensure continued Protection of cables including post lay analysis and review of protection measures and cable-soil interaction studies

FOUNDATION DESIGN

Expertise in all design phases of offshore foundations, including:

  • Basis of Design
  • Concept, FEED and detailed geotechnical design of shallow and deep foundations
  • Skirt penetration assessment for shallow bearing foundations
  • Penetration resistance of suction installed piles
  • Pile driving assessment considering up to date recommendations on calculation of resistance
  • Pile driving hammer recommendations and efficiency optimisation
  • Recommendations and design of installation support requirements
  • Back analysis of installation data
