Vaughan joined LOC in 2005 as a Master Mariner based in Singapore. He is the line manager responsible for marine casualty and salvage. Vaughan is an accredited OVID inspector and member of the Lloyd’s SCR panel, attending over 25 major marine casualties including RENA, STOLT VALOR, WEST ATLAS, five as SCR. Vaughan has 27 years’ sea service, including seven years as master, on oil/chemical tankers and cement tankers as well as general cargo, bulkers, OBO, LPG. He has substantial experience in the carriage of petroleum products/chemical products and bulk cement. As well as experience as a training officer and port captain. He has extensive experience in the preparation of procedures, ensuring compliance with Class and Flag State, and attended shipyards as client’s representative during new-builds/conversions. Vaughan spent thirteen years undertaking various oil and gas related surveys and attendances as a marine warranty surveyor, in particular during FPSO conversion/construction, towage studies/approvals, load out of jacket and deck modules, platforms, float overs, offshore installation and pipe-laying.
