A marine professional with over twenty years’ experience in the shipping and maritime industry of which 14 years were spent on board merchant vessels of various types.
Sudhir joined LOC in 2011. He has extensive seagoing experience on various ship types including cruise vessels, container vessels, crude oil tankers and bulk carriers.
He has several years’ experience as a quality manager and commercial / marine superintendent for the pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) division of a reputable Japanese shipping line. He has experience as a cargo planner of pure car carrier vessels.
Since joining LOC Sudhir has attended major casualties to perform complex investigations on behalf of P&I clubs, marine law firms and cargo interests. He has provided expert advice and reports on a variety of cases including deck container collapses, container vessel losses, car carrier losses, collisions, subsea asset damages, livestock carrier losses and cargo hold fires. He has hands on salvage and wreck removal experience with complex wreck removal operations.
Sudhir is fully conversant and involved with MADAS analysis software where digital data is fused from all available sources such as VDR, AIS, VTS and ECDIS, so as to assess causation in maritime incidents.
He has extensive risk management and risk assessment experience having worked as marine warranty surveyor and consultant on numerous oil and gas and renewable energy projects. He has considerable exposure to surveys, inspections and audits of vessels and offshore assets. Sudhir is also a fluent Hindi speaker.
