Richard is the Hull and Machinery Technical Authority in London. He is responsible for helping to lead the global delivery of the Hull and Machinery product line, advising upon and oversight of major cases along with maintaining key client relationships.
Before relocating to the UK Richard was the Hull and Machinery Manager for the Middle East, based in Dubai. His background includes engineering and management roles in the industry. He has been involved in numerous Hull and Machinery damages, contentious and non-contentious claims, accident/incident root cause analysis, P&I and cargo survey work, general average/seaworthiness claims as well as fixed object damage.
Richard has extensive experience in incident investigations, ship audits and inspections, including pre-purchase inspections. Richard has a degree in Mechanical and Marine Engineering, is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology and is a qualified ISM auditor.
