Nick is a Senior Consultant and Master Mariner based in LOC Singapore, responsible for servicing P&I Clubs, Admiralty Lawyers, and Hull Underwriters in respect to claims, disputes, and litigation.

Prior to joining LOC, Nick served at sea for 22 years at various ranks to Master. Since then he has amassed 29 years of experience as a highly regarded Marine Consultant in the international shipping industry. He is a highly experienced casualty investigator and has prepared reports and given expert advice on matters including groundings, collisions, unsafe port/berth claims, personal injury, damage to sub-sea cables, salvage, SCOPIC, offshore MODUs and towing. His experience covers providing expert evidence at arbitrations in Singapore and Australia, including in the Singapore Supreme Court, on collisions, seaworthiness issues, and unsafe port issues.

Nick’s distinguished career in the marine salvage and wreck removal industry, includes involvement with wreck clearance during the Iran/Iraq conflict, following an appointment by the UK Overseas Development Agency and Kenyan Government as Salvage Master for the Kenyan Ports Authority, Mombasa. He is also an experienced marine warranty surveyor.

Nick was appointed to the panel of Special Casualty Representatives in 2001, he is an Associate Mediator named on the Singapore Mediation Centre’s marine panel and is a Liveryman, Honourable Company of Master Mariners and a Fellow of The Nautical Institute.
