LOC Group appoints Julius Partridge and Nitin Thulkar to the Dynamic Positioning team in London

LOC Group, the premier international marine and engineering consulting firm, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Dr. Julius Partridge and Nitin Thulkar to its Dynamic Positioning (‘DP’) team in London.

Dr. Partridge has been appointed as Senior Electrical Engineer and Nitin Thulkar as Principal Dynamic Positioning Surveyor. They will be joining Sen Abhayasinghe, the Group Technical Authority for DP Services, who is responsible for steering LOC’s technical offering in the DP field amidst a fast developing market.

Nitin Thulkar is a Chartered Electrical engineer, with over 23 years of professional experience in the Offshore and Marine industry. Nitin has worked as an approved engineer of Electrical and DP systems in DNVGL for marine & offshore vessels. In addition to his work with LOC, Nitin is pursuing a PhD from Kyushu University in Engineering.

Dr. Partridge joins LOC Group from UCL, where he worked as a research and teaching fellow in the marine engineering group. With a BSc in Physics from Warwick University, MSc in Power System Engineering and PhD in Engineering from University College London, he has an extensive knowledge of engineering and electric systems. Dr. Partridge has worked extensively on alternative and hybrid systems, most recently on a project aimed at sizing and energy management of fuel cell/battery hybrid power systems for coastal shipping applications.
