Expansion of LOC Middle East’s footprint in Hull & Machinery with appointment of Marine Engineer

LOC Middle East is pleased to appoint Wayne Nash to the role of Marine Engineer within its Middle Eastern division. Wayne’s appointment is an important part of LOC’s expansion plans for its Hull & Machinery division (“H&M”) in the United Arab Emirates.

Wayne has more than 15 years’ experience in the maritime industry. Wayne began his career as an apprentice in marine engineering and progressed quickly to a Chief Engineer. He has gained technical experience at a number of companies in South Africa, including Hartmann Offshore, Smit and Svitzer.

Wayne will be based in the Dubai office and joins LOC Middle East’s existing H&M team – Andy Speed, and Joe Astorina, who are also supported by LOC’s global H&M operations, with hubs in London, Singapore and Houston.

Cris Partridge, Regional Director at LOC Group, commented:

“We are excited to welcome Wayne as Marine Engineer to expand our offering out of the Middle East. Wayne brings considerable knowledge and experience of ship repair, dry-docking and offshore and salvage operations. His appointment demonstrates LOC Group’s commitment to expanding its operations in the UAE and we look forward to [announcing further appointments to our H&M division in due course.”

Nikos Benetis, Global Head of H&M Services at LOC Group, commented:

We welcome Wayne to our Global H&M team and with his strong background and valuable experience, he will effectively support our service delivery objectives to our clients globally. He is joining an already very strong team based in UAE and hence this further strengthens our capability to support all the enquiries received in the region. To echo Cris’s message, we are committed to being able to respond to our clients in a timely and quality driven way, and LOC Group is committed to building the right team globally”.
