Marine Engineer
Stanley George is an incorporated Marine Engineer with a First Class Certificate of Competency and a Master’s degree in Technical Management of Ship Operations. He is based in LOC London. After 10 years at sea, commenced his shore based career as a marine lecturer at South Tyneside College. He then served for about 10 years as a Condition Monitoring Manager with V.Ships (SeaTec UK Ltd) at Glasgow, following which he worked as a marine engineering consultant surveyor. Stanley is a qualified level 2 Vibration, Thermal imaging and Lubricating oil analyst. Stanley’s surveying and consultancy experience includes but not limited to: Engine performance monitoring, condition monitoring surveys, MARPOL surveys, per-purchasing and pre-docking surveys, damage surveys and failure investigations on equipment’s such as, shafting, propeller, turbocharger, rudder, steering gear, stern tube, cargo pumps, ship and shore cranes, including grounding, collisions, tanks explosion, engine room fire and flooding. Stanley has extensive experience in bunker and lubricating oil related disputes.
