Naval ArchitectSimon joined LOC in 2007 and is a Shipping Technical Director, based in London. Simon specialises in technical, salvage, casualty and contractual dispute investigations. He has provided technical advice on a range of newbuilding contractual disputes and appeared in the High Court, at London Arbitration and in a US District Court as an expert witness. Investigations have included bulk carrier, car carrier and river cruise ship damage surveys and data gathering, review of salvage plans, stability assessments, drift analyses and shipbuilding and chartering contract disputes. Before joining LOC, Simon worked in technical ship management, and in general marine consultancy covering all ship types, working on single and multi-discipline projects. His experience covers new build and conversion projects, ro-ro ferry stability and high speed craft. He has worked with shipyards worldwide. Simon is a Chartered Naval Architect and Fellow of RINA with 40 years' experience in marine consultancy.
