About
Shai is ABL Group’s energy services director for Europe. He has 20 years’ experience in the marine and offshore sector as a marine engineer, consultant naval architect and marine warranty surveyor. His overall responsibilities include the delivery of MWS and advisory services contracts, including a number of high-profile offshore oil & gas construction projects with worldwide operations, and offshore wind farms.
In his previous roles he was responsible for offshore transportation and installation projects that included: topsides, jack-up rigs, jackets, gravity-base structures and FPSO towage and installation; subsea and pipeline projects including SURF and sub-sea structures in ultra-deep and shallow water, offshore wind farms and cable arrays.
Shai has also led naval architecture consultancy projects which have included concept design and analysis of offshore vessels, risers and mooring systems and he provided analysis work in support of various high profile legal dispute and arbitration cases. He holds a BSc in mechanical engineering and a Master in Science in Naval Architecture from University College London (UCL).
