Nick White

Master Mariner
Nick joined LOC in 2011 as a Master Mariner based in Singapore. He has 22 years’ sea service including six  years as master, on ocean tugs, AHTS and PSVs operating worldwide. He has been appointed by UK/Kenyan Governments as salvage master for Kenya ports. And spent over 20 years as a marine consultant in Egypt, Europe, West Africa, Indonesia and Singapore. Nick has extensive offshore warranty experience, in particular towage, rig moving, float on/off, loadouts and offshore installations.  Nick is currently general manager responsible for claims, disputes, litigation and shipping matters. He specialised in investigations, has provided opinion for an Australian Board of Enquiry, arbitration/high court hearings and given expert witness evidence in numerous cases in Singapore and Australia, in cases involving salvage, seaworthiness issues and unsafe port claims.  Nick has been a member of the Lloyd’s SCR Panel since 2001. He has been appointed as a SCR on 11 occasions, including the high profile STOLT VALOR. Nick has been involved with over 50 major marine casualties globally including wreck clearance during Iran/Iraq war.
