Marine EngineerNick is a Shipping Technical Director at LOC London and is a Chartered Marine Engineer. He joined LOC in 1999. He has many years’ seagoing experience with slow and medium speed diesel engines, and has served in all ranks including 5 years as Chief Engineer. He has worked on a wide variety of vessel types including bulk carriers, Ro-Ros, general cargo and reefer container ships. Nick has wide-ranging experience of casualties and disputes, including bunker disputes, Charterparty disputes involving issues of seaworthiness, surveys and investigations of main and auxiliary machinery, turbo chargers, deck cranes, steering gear, propeller damage and electrical equipment. He has conducted damage surveys following fire, flooding, collision and grounding. Nick has attended as expert witness at a number of arbitrations and in court, in the UK and overseas.
