Structural Engineer / Naval Architect
Minghui joined LOC in 2016. Based in London, she provides technical expertise for legal disputes and arbitration cases with regards to structural related incidents, as well as structural engineering consultancy services for MWS projects. Minghui’s background and work experiences cover lecturing, research and development, engineering and project management, and specialises in offshore and marine structural engineering, from design, analysis, to integrity management of fixed platforms, FPSOs, semi-submersibles, and flexible risers. In particular, she has an in-depth knowledge of applying computational analysis to offshore structures, such as ultimate strength and fatigue integrity assessments of both fixed and floating installations. Minghui is a charted engineer and a member of RINA in the UK, and an NPER registered charted professional engineer and a member of the Structural college of IEAust in Australia. She is also a member of the ISO Work Group 3 for Fixed Steel Platforms, which is under ISO/TC67/SC7 committee addressing offshore structures, and is involved in the development of ISO 19901-9 for Structural Integrity Management and the revision of ISO 19902 for planning and engineering of fixed steel offshore structures as well as ISO 19901-2 for seismic design procedures and criteria.
