Civil EngineerMark joined LOC in 2001 and is an Engineering Director based in LOC London. Mark provides civil engineering consultancy services to ship owners, P&I clubs, lawyers, insurance companies and other members of the maritime community, and specialises in the investigation of fixed and floating object damages and unsafe ports. Mark has provided expert evidence in the High Court and in London Arbitration and mediation. Mark’s work includes the investigation of cause and extent of damages, advice, design and costing of repair options, organisation, management and supervision of repair contracts as well as advice on port design and layout. He also has experience in performing, monitoring and supervising underwater inspection of damaged marine structures, coral reef restoration and underwater construction work. Before joining LOC, Mark worked for 12 years on international multi‑disciplinary projects in the fields of heavy civil engineering, maritime and port construction. Mark is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers with 26 years' experience in marine engineering consultancy.
