Civil EngineerDean joined LOC in 2013, and is a Marine Civil Engineer based in London. He has nine years’ experience in the marine civil engineering industry and is a HSE qualified commercial diver (parts 1, 3 and 4). Dean provides civil engineering consultancy services to ship owners, P&I clubs, lawyers, insurance companies and other members of the maritime community, and specialises in the investigation of fixed and floating object damages. Dean’s work includes the investigation of cause and extent of damages, advice, design and costing of repair options, organisation, management and supervision of repair contracts as well as advice on port design and layout. As a qualified commercial diver he also has experience in performing and supervising underwater inspections and repairs of marine structures. Before joining LOC, Dean worked on maritime engineering projects for an international civil engineering consultancy and a leading UK port operator.
