Dr Aureliano Schirripa is a dedicated naval architect and ship engineer with 18+ years of professional experience, leading complex and multi-billion dollars projects by providing costs effective solutions to internal and external clients.

Aurliano has applied his expertise across both maritime and oil and gas market sectors.

As a highly experienced marine warranty surveyor and marine and engineering consultancy project manager, he has worked across medium and large offshore oil and gas projects. He provided MWS consultancy for the construction and outfitting of a new integration yard in Nigeria, and carried out due diligence inspections and safety evaluations, load-out and sailaway inspections and lifting and skidding marine operations.

Aureliano has provided extensive ship emergency response by providing naval architectural support to major marine casualties. He has also provided consultancy for ship design, stability analysis and ship survey of FPSO’s, semisubmersible flotel, tankers, cruises, Ro-Ro, bulk carriers and containers, and supply vessels.

He has significant knowledge and experience of providing safety evaluation and risk-based maintenance plans.

Before joining ABL Group in February 2011, Aureliano worked for seven years as a senior field surveyor and plan approval naval architect at Lloyd’s Register, where he developed an extensive record of periodical and occasional class surveys for any ship kind, including offshore platforms inspections. He was also responsible for the statutory computational plan approval. He was promoted as general manager for Lloyd’s Register for the Taranto district, southern Italy.

Prior to that he worked for a Ro-Ro Pax company in Italy supervising the maintenance and update of their fleet to the statutory and class new requirement. He has also served as a site engineer manager for a new Ro-Ro Pax construction at FINCANTIERI shipyard in Ancona, Italy.
