Civil Geotechnical Engineer
Aime joined LOC in 2012, and is a Civil Geotechnical Engineer and Associate, based in London. Aime is a Technical Expert at the IMO on mineral ore cargo liquefaction matters. Aime also provides civil engineering and geotechnical engineering consultancy services to ship owners, P&I clubs, lawyers, insurance companies and other members of the maritime community, and specialises in the technical review for Site Specific Assessment Certificates of Approval for marine warranty projects. Aime has provided expert evidence in London Arbitration and mediation. Before joining LOC, Aime supervised site investigations and geotechnical investigations for maritime, offshore, and onshore construction projects; research and fieldwork within the mining industry; and forensic engineering analysis. Aime is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers with a doctorate in Geotechnical Engineering and more than 15 years' experience in geotechnical engineering consultancy (both onshore and offshore). Aime is an elected Associate Member of the Offshore Site Investigation and Geotechnics (OSIG) Committee, a recognised forum concerning offshore site investigation, foundation behaviour and associated areas of the offshore environment.
