We are a leading provider of industry standard surveys & inspections
We have extensive experience with many standard formats including CMID (Common Marine Inspection Document) (main and small boats, ROVs, Dive systems), OVID (Offshore Vessel Inspection Database), MSF (Marine Safety Forum) and eCMID.
Our experts are familiar with industry standards and audits and used to demonstrating compliance with them. These include but are not limited to ISM (International Safety Management), ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security code), LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) and PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations). Where required by the relevant standards, our experts are qualified to perform such audits.
LOC undertakes gap assessments for many clients, including before a formal inspection or when requirements change. This helps clients in their planning and preparation of systems and staff for the main compliance audit and should help reduce or eliminate the number and severity of deviations reported.
The audit location is normally the vessel(s) concerned, but on many occasions, particularly with ISM audits, it will include the vessel owner or manager office and personnel (the headquarters and local entity if operating remotely of the headquarters). This ensures the whole system is captured in the audit frame and provides the clients with good evidence of its due diligence.
LOC maintains a large pool of experienced experts that are accredited for industry standard surveys. These surveyors and inspectors are based in many key centres for shipping and offshore fleets. Our expert resource pool is supplemented with contract personnel that further extend our reach. We offer clients an opportunity to meet deadlines and requirements for inspections regardless of where the vessel is operating.
