LOC is specialised in the assessment of DP vessels

The use of dynamic positioned (DP) vessels has increased significantly over recent years. DP vessels are now often required in deep water construction and removal, wind farm installations, underwater diving (divers and ROV operations), pipe and cable-lay operations, tankers, accurate low-speed trajectory following, assisted anchoring, and weather-vane operation.

LOC is specialised in the assessment of all kinds of DP vessels with DP notations DP-1, DP-2 and DP-3. We have  a track record of conducting work in accordance to IMO (International Maritime Organisation), Class Rules, IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) and MTS (Marine Technology Society) requirements and guidance.

LOC has an active DP steering group led by its Group Technical Authority, which sets our internal standard, training and qualification requirements across the company and establishes up to date templates that comply with the latest Class Rules and industry guidance.

Our DP service line is integrated with a monitoring and control process to ensure that quality of our products is always maintained to the highest industry standard.
